The British Australian Community – a kindred association based in Melbourne – has announced its yearly literary competition which is open to all residents of Australia. The winning entry will receive $1,000. Submissions are to be sent by or before 30 April, and are to be no longer than 800 words. More information can be found on the British Australian Community‘s Award webpage which provides examples of past entries and outlines the terms and conditions of the competition. We strongly encourage our readers and friends who are based in Australia to contact the British Australian Community if they are interested in participating in the competition or working with the association in fostering the British cultural heritage among young Victorians
